"Dujon" Bread for PoWs

Dudeney and Johnston, 100 High Street, Bedford c.1914 [BTNegM8/62/2]

Thursday 12th August 1915: Messrs. Dudeney and Johnston of Bedford have been making special “Dujon” bread to send to prisoners of war. This bread has become so popular that large quantities are being dispatched five days a week. A number of local ladies have kindly volunteered to help pack the bread into parcels.
